Software Programmer Position (Up to 40 Hours)
Job Description: CGI Web Developer position to assist development of the Chemistry Department's Computer Assisted Learning program. Tasks will include development of functions to improve performance and usability. The person will also be involved in transitioning old software into new formats and developing new ways to build on course content.
Required Skills: A STRONG knowledge of PERL programming and CGI development.
The applicant must be able to work independently and learn quickly to meet the time requirements.

Hourly Web Designer(10-25 hours/week)
Job Description: Web programming knowledge, demonstrated graphic design ability, and digital photography skills for 10 to 25 hours a week. Excellent writing and content development skills are required. Under direct supervision, the candidate will assist in writing and publishing content for all areas of the Chemistry web site. Primary duty will include direct interaction with faculty and staff to offer new and exciting designs for various web pages for the department and research groups.
Qualifications: Proficiency in HTML, PHP, ASP, CSS, and professional design software (e.g. PHP, ASP, CSS, Dreamweaver, InDesign, PageMaker, Photoshop). Must be a team oriented individual who enjoys a dynamic and diverse work environment.

LINUX/UNIX Administrator Linux/Unix Administrator (10-30 hours/week)
Job Description: Linux/Unix administrator needed to assist Coordinator of Unix Systems 10-30 hours weekly with Linux, Solaris, and IRIX hosts. Position to provide support for HPC clusters, workstations, and departmental services.
Qualifications: Position requires a good understanding of networking and UNIX security. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bourne and C shell, Perl, PHP, TCL/TK, and Ruby is a big plus, as is experience with C/C++ or Fortran. Compensation is based on prior experience.
